Government Revised Covid 19 Testing Rules for International Arrivals to India

  LIVE MINT      16-12-2021 The Government has revised new Covid-related guidelines for passengers traveling to India from December 20 onwards. Amid the threat of the Omicron Covid-19 variant, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said that passengers coming from 'at-risk' countries will have to compulsorily pre-book for the on-arrival RT-PCR test. The pre-booking testing will be implemented at six major airports--Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. However, in case a person is unable to do so the passengers will not be denied to board a flight, the ministry added. The ministry informed that Air Suvidha Portal will be modified to allow the passengers to mandatorily pre-book the RT PCR test if they are coming from the countries 'at risk' or have visited 'at risk' countries in the last 14 days. Safe And Sealed Tourism : India signs air bubble pact with Seychelles and Uzbekistan.

               I ndia has signed air bubble arrangement with Seychelles and Uzbekistan. The total number of countries under air bubble agreement has increased to 27. India has now formalized air bubble arrangements with a total of 27 countries adding places like Russia, Tanzania, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Oman on the list alongside earlier done agreements with countries like the USA, Canada, France, Germany, among others. International flights from both sides will fly between the two countries. Airlines details on who will start operations to these destinations is not yet confirmed and announced. Safe And Sealed Tourism : Thailand likely to open for tourists from October 2020

  Thailand, the favorite destination for tourists likely to welcome back tourists from October 2020 with a strict policy of Safe and Sealed tourism. The tourists arriving will have to spend 30 days in the country with an initial 14 days in the hotel quarantine.  According to tourism authorities, Travelers will need to get tested for Covid-19 at the beginning and end of their quarantine period. Then, they will be free to travel on the country. Initially, Phuket will be opened as a sealed destination and the tourists who wish to travel beyond Phuket will have to stay in quarantine for an additional seven days and will have a third Covid-19 test at the end of that 21-day quarantine period. The Island country has very successfully managed to hold the spread of Covid-19 and now its more than 3 months not any local spread of the disease has been reported.
